In modern food packaging, speed is everything. However, routing a standard M12 sensor cable through a high-speed drag chain is a recipe for disaster. The rapid, continuous whipping motion causes standard copper wire strands to fatigue and snap internally, while the outer plastic jacket splits open from the friction. In a food plant, a cracked cable jacket is a massive hygienic liability; it creates a microscopic trap for food debris and allows high-pressure Clean-In-Place (CIP) wash-water to flood the electrical system.
